I'm saying it won't get you anywhere. If you've dealt with any dealer before which I'm guessing your exposure is maybe limited, you wont get far asking you have to do the research or demand the direct line. Talking to the individual who denied the claim wont get you far either. If what they say is true he has made his decision and will probably not change it. I would call talk to someone else and state your claim. I've been doing this job a while now and when someone new gets to come in and make you happy, save the day and be the hero, they love doing it. Hope this works out for you. Unfortunately in this business sometimes it does matter who you get and when you get them and what kind of day they may be having
